The first Valentines Day in a relationship is always hard. Both the guy and the girl wonder what to give the other one and they often wonder if a gift is even in question. Generally, if you’re in a relationship, the girl will always expect a gift on Valentine’s Day but she may not necessarily be giving something to the guy. Here are some easy rules to follow when you’re buying a gift for your first valentine’s day.
How long have you been dating before this Valentine’s Day? If you’ve been dating for two months or less then pizza and a movie will work just fine. But if you’re relationship has gone on longer, then you need a proper gift. Remember that a big gift in a relationship that is just getting off is more than likely to scare the other person away.
Don’t over spend; simple chocolate gifts will be a huge hit. Remember that if you’re relationship has just gotten stronger, your girlfriend will be looking for something typical, she wants the initial feel of getting a truly romantic gift. Jewelry is out of the question even if it’s been more than 6 months. Try unique chocolate gifts instead of the traditional and boring ones. Give her a box of chocolate covered strawberries or chocolate dipped pineapple daisies.
If you’ve been dating for 10 to 11 months, then dinner might be a good idea. You don’t have to go to a special restaurant or anything. It would be much more special if you were to cook her something yourself.
